Iraq condemns Iran's aggressive behavior

Greater Middle East (bbabo.net), - Iraq's Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded today, January 16, to Iran's missile attack on Erbil, the administrative center of the Kurdish Autonomous Region in the Arab Republic, strongly condemning the actions of the neighboring country, Shafaq News reports.

“The Government of Iraq considers this behavior an aggression against the sovereignty of Iraq and the security of the Iraqi people and confirms that it will take all measures provided for by law,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Baghdad plans to file a complaint with the UN Security Council. The Iraqi Prime Minister decided to form a committee that would investigate the attack and gather information to support the government's position internationally.

As of Tuesday morning, a missile attack carried out by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) killed four people in Erbil, including a Kurdish businessman.

Iran launched a strike near the US consulate, claiming an attack on an Israeli “spy center”.
