Vladimir Putin noted that Salavat Yulaev is an excellent team, but the championship is planned to be held in St. Petersburg, where facilities are being prepared for it. And it is very far from Ufa. The President also stressed that the decision on the venue for the World Championship depends not only on the Russian authorities, but also on the International Ice Hockey Federation.

- But Ufa is able to host international competitions of the highest level. We will think about it, - said Vladimir Putin.
