Belarus recognized as extremists citizens rallied around Radio Liberty

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus recognized the association of citizens, which was created around the Belarusian service "Radio Liberty" (the organization was included by the Ministry of Justice in the list of foreign agents), to be extremist. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic in its Telegram channel.

“On December 23, 2021, the Ministry of Internal Affairs recognized a group of citizens who united through the Internet resources of Radio Svaboda as an extremist formation,” the press release says. It is noted that the actions of the creators, leaders and participants are punishable by up to seven years in prison.

Earlier it was reported that the Telegram channel and the social networks Radio Liberty-Belarus were recognized as extremist in the country. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus then noted that the storage of extremist materials, as well as subscription to Telegram channels and chats, recognized as extremist, are punishable by law.
