Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko said that Switzerland is not looking for contacts with the Russian Federation on holding a peace conference on Ukraine, and “gatherings” held on the basis of the so-called peace formula of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky do not have sense.
“There are no searches for contacts. Any such “gatherings” that are organized according to Zelensky’s “peace formula”, they simply do not make sense,” the deputy minister told reporters, answering a question from TASS.
As reported, the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd, after a meeting with Zelensky on January 15, said that the Ukrainian president asked Switzerland to organize a high-level peace conference. Bern responded positively to this request. In turn, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis noted at a press conference on January 14 in Davos that Russia needs to be included in the discussion about a peace settlement.
