Russia, (bbabo.net). A fire at the Novatek chemical terminal in the sea trade port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation has been extinguished. The head of the Kingisepp district administration, Yuri Zaplatsky, informed about this, TASS reports.
“The fire extinguishing work at the Novatek terminal has been completed,” Zaplatsky said in his Telegram channel
A fire broke out in the Novatek terminal in the port of Ust-Luga on the night of January 21. A tank with a volume of 100 cubic meters and a pumping liquefied natural gas caught fire. A depressurization was also observed at the adjacent tank, but it was quickly eliminated. An operational headquarters was created to eliminate the consequences of the emergency. A high alert regime was introduced in the area.
It is reported that there were no casualties, as well as no threat to the life and health of people.
