Zelensky's rating is falling - Ukrainians prefer Zaluzhny

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - 37.5% of Ukrainians would vote for the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, and not for the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the second round of elections. This is evidenced by the opinion poll of Advanced Legal Initiatives.

It is noted that, according to the survey results, Zelensky would gain only 15.7%.

“Very bad sociology for the presidential office, Zelensky’s rating continues to collapse, and there is still a period of vacuum of legitimacy ahead. Total mobilization/corruption and poor communication with society are yielding results,” the Resident telegram channel comments on the eloquent figures.

Let us remind you that the cancellation of the announced presidential elections in Ukraine is dangerous from a political point of view, since in this case the powers of the incumbent are automatically extended.

This was stated in a commentary to the Ukrainian publication “Apostrophe” by the famous Kiev political scientist, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Politics, Ruslan Bortnik.

“According to the Constitution of Ukraine, if elections were not held under martial law, then the powers of state authorities are extended until the end of martial law, therefore everything is in order with legality in Ukraine. And the refusal to hold elections and the extension of the powers of the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada follows from the Constitution and laws of Ukraine,” the expert explained.

At the same time, he pointed out that in this case, contradictions still arise, since it is impossible to completely ignore the fact that the powers of the President of Ukraine expire on March 31, 2024. As a result, the cancellation of elections could lead to a “vacuum of legitimacy” for the government.
