Belarus (bbabo.net), - The Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to organize search and rescue teams on the border with Belarus in order to make the situation at the state border “more civilized.” This was reported by Polish media with reference to a letter signed by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Maciej Duszczyk.
It is noted that the ministry recommended that border guards form similar groups at all border units. Their task will be to prevent humanitarian crises. It is expected that such a step will mean a change in attitude towards illegal migrants who try to cross the Polish-Belarusian border.
Let us remind you that Poland refuses to accept refugees who are trying to enter its territory from Belarus. Previously, international and Polish human rights activists have repeatedly accused the republic’s border guards of treating migrants too harshly. According to information from the Polish Border Guard, about 26 thousand attempts to illegally cross the border were recorded in 2023.
