Putin assessed the prospects for relations with the new government of Afghanistan

The situation in Afghanistan raises many concerns, and in the issue of recognizing the new authorities of the country, it is necessary to "proceed from reality." This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a big press conference.

“We must proceed from the realities. All ethnic groups were represented in the country's leadership. And only this, in my opinion, can create some conditions that give rise to hope for stabilization in Afghanistan, ”the President said.

Russia, for its part, will do everything possible to help the Afghans, and on the issue of recognition "works in a consolidated manner" with all members of the international community, Putin concluded.
