Voices are heard in the White House: Sullivan spoke out about Carlson’s interview with Putin

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Arguments in favor of supporting Ukraine prevail over those of opponents of this approach. US Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan announced this today at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

This is how Sullivan commented on reports about journalist Tucker Carlson’s upcoming interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Regarding this interview, we have heard voices in the US, Europe and other parts of the world questioning or casting doubt on our collective support for Ukraine. [The United States] has consistently argued why providing assistance to Ukraine is in the fundamental national security interests of both Washington and NATO... I believe that our arguments on this issue continue to prevail,” Sullivan said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

As bbabo.net reported, a number of Republican legislators in the United States reacted positively to the statement of American journalist Tucker Carlson that he would interview Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Tuesday, Carlson published a video message on the social network X against the backdrop of the Kremlin towers and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, in which he stated that he would soon interview Putin. According to the journalist, he is doing this because the Americans are absolutely unaware of what is happening in Russia and Ukraine. At the same time, the White House, according to Carlson, twice tried to disrupt the interview. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre later denied Carlson's statement.
