Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The French authorities are leaving unanswered requests from the Russian side regarding the legality of the participation of French mercenaries in the Ukrainian conflict.
Russian Ambassador to Paris Alexey Meshkov reported this to RIA Novosti. He pointed out that the Ukrainian embassy in France continues to actively recruit mercenaries, despite the fact that this is contrary to French laws.
In this regard, the Russian diplomatic mission has already twice asked the Elysee Palace about how this practice complies with French legislation on mercenarism.
“We’ll see how this develops, because we really specifically checked: this publication remains open on the official website of the embassy and on social networks too. It states what this person should be able to do, a long questionnaire is attached, that is, it’s all serious there,” the diplomat stated.
He also emphasized that French colleagues no longer “think about diplomacy,” and therefore the Russian side does not receive any answers.
Let us recall that the issue with French mercenaries in Ukraine escalated in mid-January. Then, as a result of a missile attack on Kharkov, 60 “soldiers of fortune,” mostly French, were destroyed.
After this, the French Ambassador to Moscow, Pierre Levy, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. At the same time, official Paris stated that there are no mercenaries from France in Ukraine.
