Nicaragua has warned Germany, Britain, the Netherlands and Canada that it is preparing a lawsuit against them at the International Court of Justice on charges of supplying Israel with weapons that were used to commit genocide in the Gaza Strip, The Middle East Eye reports.
The government said in a statement that the countries supplied weapons to Israel “to facilitate its violation of the Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide.”
“Nicaragua called on the governments of the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and Canada to immediately stop supplying arms, ammunition, technology and weapons parts to Israel, as they could be used to violate the Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide,” the statement said.
Otherwise, Nicaragua will be forced to appeal to the International Court of Justice.
Let us recall that earlier Nicaragua, Turkey, Venezuela, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Maldives and Namibia supported South Africa’s lawsuit against Israel.
