Kazakhstan has simplified procedures related to electronic services within the EAEU

Asia (bbabo.net), - Kazakhstan has simplified the procedure for tax registration and payment of VAT on electronic services within the EAEU. Sputnik Kazakhstan reports this.

According to the agency, the Senate of the Republic approved changes made to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union in terms of determining the procedure for collecting indirect taxes when providing services in electronic form.

“Ratification of the protocol will help meet the needs of the budgets of the EAEU member states, improve the economic situation, increase the profitability of enterprises providing services in electronic form, and ultimately strengthen cooperation between the EAEU member states, as well as cooperation with other countries,” said on this occasion, deputy Sultanbek Makezhanov.

According to him, the law allows:

create equal taxation conditions within the EAEU and with third countries with a transparent and clear mechanism for paying VAT;

simplify tax administration;

make it easier to do business in the field of electronic services.

According to the amendments, a list of services provided in electronic form will be formed - 14 services in total. The procedure and conditions for the place of business when providing services in electronic form, and the procedure for paying VAT will also be determined.
