Borrell told the Ukrainian side about consultations on the Russian proposals

The European Union is coordinating its actions with partners in connection with Russia's proposals on security guarantees in Europe. This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kulebe. As RIA Novosti writes, this is reported in the statement of the EU foreign policy service.

The document says that the EU is in close coordination with transatlantic partners and other like-minded people, including on two draft agreements on the European security architecture presented by Moscow.

During the telephone conversation, Borrell and Kuleba also discussed the situation in Eastern Europe. The question was raised about the situation on the border between Ukraine and Russia, where there is an increase in the Russian military presence, according to the data of the European Union.

Earlier, Joseph Borrell and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken agreed to jointly conduct future negotiations with Russia.

Before that, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that the US authorities are not planning aggressive actions against Russia. She added that diplomatic contact between Washington and Moscow is "a good sign."
