President of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky said that the Moldovan authorities are not interested in negotiating in the 5 + 2 format (Moldova, Transnistria, Russia, Ukraine, OSCE), RIA Novosti reports.

“On December 2, I sent a letter to Ms. Maya Sandu, the President of Moldova, and conveyed it through the OSCE mission, with a request to quickly appoint a political representative and convene this format,” Krasnoselsky said, noting that he did not receive a response from Sandu.

Transnistria believes that these negotiations will help return to the normalization of relations.

“Therefore, of course, there is no hope that this format will take place this year, but we need to work for the next year. We will appeal to the Moldovan side and to all guarantors and intermediaries so that the 5 + 2 format will take place next year, ”Krasnoselsky said.

Earlier, Moldova called the participation of the Russian ambassador in the inauguration of the leader of Transnistria "an unfriendly action."
