Montenegrin President Tests With Coronavirus

Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic tested positive for coronavirus after contact with an infected person. This was announced yesterday by the press service of the head of state.

"The president has mild symptoms, he feels well," the statement was quoted by TASS. It is noted that Djukanovic is now on self-isolation and "in this regime will fulfill his duties." It is known that the president and his wife were vaccinated on August 20 this year.

Montenegro, in terms of the number of both infected with coronavirus and the number of deaths from COVID-19, is one of the most disadvantaged countries in the region. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic in the republic, whose population is 628 thousand people, more than 161 thousand cases of infection have been confirmed, 2,385 people have died.
