Syria reports strike on Aleppo airport: at least 38 killed

Israel (bbabo.net), - At least 38 people were killed and dozens were injured when a defense facility near Aleppo International Airport was hit on the night of March 29. As Reuters reports, citing sources in the Syrian security system, the attack was aimed at a Hezbollah weapons depot (according to other sources, a factory). The Syrian army blamed Israel for the incident, claiming that unmanned aircraft were also used in the attack.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) clarified that at least 5 of those killed were Hezbollah militants. It is also noted that the Syrian army deployed air defense systems, but to no avail.

The Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV channel, affiliated with Hezbollah, claims that “the Israeli missile attack was aimed at several objects” controlled by the Assad regime and pro-Iranian structures in the areas of An-Narab and Al-Safira in the province of Aleppo (Aleppo).

Last week, the Syrian Ministry of Defense accused Israel of attacking military targets in the Damascus area. The department announced the successful repulsion of the attack, although opposition sources wrote about fire and destruction.

And three days ago, information was disseminated that during a strike on Syrian targets, a high-ranking adviser to the Iranian military formation of the IRGC, Colonel Baharuz Vahadi, who led the communications center in Syria, was eliminated.

Earlier on March 17, it was also reported about a strike in the Damascus area.
