The internal structure of the Storm Shadow rocket was shown for the first time in Russia -

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Russian weapons experts have demonstrated for the first time the internal structure of the Anglo-French Storm Shadow cruise missile.

A video showing the process of disassembling this projectile was published on March 29 in its Telegram channel by the RIA Novosti agency.

It is noted that all data obtained during the study of the missile is transferred to various departments to develop methods of countering missile attacks with air defense systems.

In the footage you can see a turbojet engine, low-pressure compressor blades and composite wing material.

It is alleged that the main charge of the shown missile warhead is located at the wing assembly. The Storm Shadow missile has a tandem warhead designed to destroy heavily defended targets, including concrete bunkers.

One of the experts participating in the disassembly demonstrated the head fairing, which is discarded when approaching a target, the defused warhead fuse, and the bottom part where the fuse is installed.

Based on the general condition of the surviving hull, we can conclude that the missile did not fire normally when hitting the target, but was suppressed by electronic warfare systems or fell due to a technical malfunction. There are no signs of air defense damage visible on the missile body.

Storm Shadow is a stealth air-launched cruise missile. Launched from aircraft. The destruction range is from 250 to 560 kilometers, depending on the modification. Developed jointly by France and the UK (in France it was called SCALP and produced by the MBDA concern). The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been actively using Storm Shadow since 2023.
