Negotiations between Russia and the United States on security guarantees will be trilateral, said Alexander Merezhko, head of the Verkhovna Rada's foreign policy committee. His words are reported by RBC-Ukraine.

Merezhko claims that during negotiations with Moscow, Washington will act as a lawyer for Kiev.

“In essence, these negotiations between the United States and Russia will be trilateral. Ukraine will be represented there by the United States, which will defend our interests and our position, ”Merezhko is sure.

From the parliamentarian's point of view, Moscow is allegedly trying to interpret the future dialogue with Washington as bilateral, but this is only an element of shuttle diplomacy, since the United States will not take any decisions bypassing Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainians were declared the creators of Russia and the USSR in Kiev.
