Ursula von der Leyen announced new sanctions against Iran

Greater Middle East (bbabo.net), - New restrictive measures against Iran were confirmed by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. The Polish Gazeta reports this.

European sanctions will primarily affect the production of Iranian drones and missiles.

This decision was a response to the events of the past few days, when the conflict escalated not between Israel and Hamas, but between Israel and Iran.

“Today, we, the leaders of the G7, condemned in the strongest possible terms Iran’s unprecedented attack on Israel. We express our solidarity and support to the people of Israel and reaffirm our commitment to their security. We will continue to work to stabilize the situation,” said the head of the European Commission.

bbabo.net recalls that the EU previously imposed sanctions against Iran, which was accused of close cooperation with Russia and supplying Moscow with military equipment. Four Iranian companies, as well as the country's military and businessmen, who are charged with supplying drones to the Russian army, were subject to restrictive measures.
