The EU is trying to shift focus from the conflict in the Middle East to Sudan

Greater Middle East (bbabo.net), - While the Middle East conflict between Israel, Hamas, Iran, Lebanon and other countries is increasingly escalating, with new countries and powers joining in, European diplomacy is focusing not only on it, but also on the conflicts in north and east Africa. EUobserver provides details.

Diplomats from Germany and France, the economic leaders of united Europe, this week drew attention to the ongoing war in Sudan, as well as the risk of starvation among civilians in the East African country.

“Sudan is the biggest displacement crisis in the world, there is no other crisis on this scale,” EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell confirmed this week.

Thus, the EU is trying to draw the attention of the international community to Sudan, where approximately half of the population is already starving.
