EU introduces new sanctions against Hamas and adds to the blacklist of Israelis

Greater Middle East (bbabo.net), - The authorities of a united, but not at all united Europe, seem to be trying to sit on two chairs. On the one hand, Europeans condemn Hamas’s aggression against Israelis, introducing new sanctions, on the other hand, they increase the so-called “black list” of Israeli citizens who are accused of excessive aggression against civilians. EUobserver reports this.

In an attempt to “cool down Israeli aggression,” the source clarifies, the EU may freeze the assets of six extremist Israeli citizens.

But the publication provides an interesting clarification with reference to diplomatic sources in Brussels. The EU is trying to equally reason with aggression on both sides, but does not loudly announce sanctions against the Israelis. Therefore, this decision to replenish the “black list” should be “quietly” adopted by the “procedure” in the EU Council, and not by the leaders of European countries during the summit in Brussels this week or at the meeting of EU foreign ministers next Monday.

bbabo.net also previously reported about the disruption of the International Palestinian Congress by police in Berlin.
