Durov spoke about his conversation with Zuckerberg

USA (bbabo.net), - The meeting that amused the co-founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov took place more than 10 years ago - then he met with the current head of the Meta* corporation (recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned) Mark Zuckerberg and his colleagues to talk about their developments, Durov said in an interview with Tucker Carlson.

“At that time I was still managing VKontakte and told them, Mark and colleagues, about our platform and application. It was an interesting meeting; they were very interested. Interesting project. True, the meeting ended with them trying to copy not what we did, but how I told them about it. It was funny,” Durov said in an interview with an American journalist published on the night of April 17.

The entrepreneur added that in a conversation with Zuckerberg, the American clarified whether Durov plans to enter the global market, “engage in international expansion,” to which he answered negatively. Zuckerberg answered the same question in the same way, and both owners of social networks agreed to remain in their markets, without competing or intersecting.

On April 16, Durov announced the imminent release of his interview, which he gave to American journalist Tucker Carlson in February of this year. According to Durov, he “as the leader of a politically neutral platform” gave an interview to a journalist with liberal views.
