The working class in the United States was recognized as being on ADHD medication

USA (bbabo.net), - Trends and lifestyle in the USA present unexpected surprises not only for the rest of the world, but also for specialists within the country - for the same doctors and insurers. As Bloomberg reported this week, a large portion of the country's working class appears to be heavily hooked on the ADHD drug.

We are talking about the so-called “Adderall”, which is used to treat a real disease diagnosed in both children and adults - ADHD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The active substance of the drug is four salts of strong amphetamines, which affect the emotional state of the patient.

But why are Americans being diagnosed with ADHD in large numbers? There may not be any diagnoses as such, but residents of the country are buying the drug as a simple and cheap means of relieving stress, concentrating, increasing libido and general mood.

Doctors are quietly prescribing medicine to patients in the masses. It has reached the point where it has become scarce; manufacturers simply cannot keep up with the growing demand. Moreover, everyone is on Adderall - from ordinary factory workers who are forced to work extra shifts, to residents of Wall Street.

Doctors in the United States do not yet know how to cope with this reality that has already arrived. Plus, no one undertakes to predict the long-term consequences of the mass addiction of the American population “suffering” from ADHD.
