Zakharova: The Director General of UNESCO is obliged to hand over her salary for April, she did not work it

USA (bbabo.net), - Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Audrey Azoulay, who did not respond to the death of Izvestia war correspondent Semyon Eremin after the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, did not work out her salary for this month and must submit it. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on Sputnik radio.

The diplomat called the silence of Azoulay and other UNESCO representatives a shame and complete dysfunction.

“This is something that should actually lead to her handing over her salary for this month; she has not worked it out,” Zakharova noted, as quoted by TASS.

As the diplomat noted earlier in her telegram channel, commenting on the lack of reaction from Azoulay, “among other things, this is a failure to fulfill direct functional responsibilities, for which member countries regularly pay dues.”

As reported, Eremin died from injuries received as a result of a Ukrainian drone strike near the village of Priyutnoye on the border of the DPR and Zaporozhye. The journalist has been working in the special military operation zone since February 2022. He was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree, and posthumously the Order of Courage.

Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel that on April 23, a farewell took place for Eremin, “whom the susushniks purposefully and cold-bloodedly bombarded with explosive ammunition from drones, regardless of any “Press” signs.” “And, most likely, thanks to - many military correspondents note that the designations of correspondents and journalists accepted throughout the world, on the contrary, serve as a tasty target for adherents of Ukraine,” she pointed out.
