American professor Andrew Lethem, who deals with international affairs, wrote in his article in The Hill that Russia is a superpower on the international stage, not a decadent country, as the Western press calls it, and the United States needs to realize this.

“The tales of Russia's collapse have been spreading with surprising consistency since the collapse of the Soviet Union on December 25, exactly three decades ago. The political scientist also pointed out that these "characteristics are highly misleading," and "the myth of Russian decline is precisely a myth."
