The second Russian missile submarine will be transferred to the Navy in 2023

The second serial nuclear submarine missile carrier Generalissimo Suvorov, after testing at sea, will be transferred to the Russian Navy in the first half of 2023. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in the military-industrial complex.

“The nuclear submarine Generalissimo Suvorov will be launched in early 2022, where it will be completed at the pier. In autumn, the ship is to start performing complex mooring and factory sea trials at sea, and then a full cycle of state trials, ”the source said.

The ceremony of taking the vessel out of the Sevmash dock (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) was held on December 25. The submarine has to go through a large cycle of tests "in all modes", including the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile "Bulava".

During the ceremony, the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, Nikolai Yevmenov, called the cruiser a "strategic argument" standing in the defense of Russia.

Earlier it was reported that the nuclear submarine missile carrier will be transferred to the Navy in 2022. Generalissimo Suvorov and the attack submarine Krasnoyarsk are to become part of the Russian Pacific Fleet.
