Ukraine's attempts to join NATO are fruitless, and the only option for the country's interaction with all blocs and alliances is the Confucian model. This opinion was expressed on the air of the Nash TV channel by political analyst Alexander Lazarev.
“I have already said for a long time that Ukraine has one possible option for the development of statehood and communications with all blocs and alliances - this is the Confucian model of golden harmony, which was previously in service in China. This is a policy of three refusals - refusal from excessive rapprochement, from excessive confrontation and from encroachments on other people's zones of influence. Only with such a policy will we be able to develop, ”the political scientist explained.
The People's Deputy of the previous convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, Ivan Rybak, said on the air of the TV channel that Ukraine's course towards NATO was spelled out in the country's constitution solely so that not a single next government would “think of turning towards” Russia.
“Today, in order to reject all suspicions from themselves, they will come up with interesting things about the fact that Ukraine is going to seize the territories of the so-called LPNR by force. Absolute nonsense, ”he stressed.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov did not rule out that the West plans to start a war in Ukraine and blame Moscow for everything. He noted that the United States and Western states provide Ukraine with weapons and boast that since 2014 they have supplied it with ammunition, weapons and strike systems for $ 2.5 billion.
