Russia (bbabo.net), - It is advisable to cancel the general New Year's holidays, and instead add the days of rest to all citizens to the holidays. This proposal was made by the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

According to him, the Liberal Democratic Party is in favor of the fact that by 28 regular vacation days, the Russians will receive 15 more. Thus, Zhirinovsky explained in a commentary to RIA Novosti, the number of days off will remain, but citizens will be able to independently choose when to take them. “Someone will keep their holidays for themselves on New Year's - they have the right, please,” the politician does not rule out.

He explained that it would be convenient, since on warm spring days, many people go to their dacha to prepare a vegetable garden.

The parliamentarian suggested another option that would suit some: add yourself one or two days off every other week.

The politician connected his proposal with the pandemic, noting that it was during the New Year holidays that the mortality rate increased sharply. After all, mass idleness provokes drunkenness, domestic crimes, etc. Plus, there are huge losses in the economy, which actually stands during this period.

At the same time, it is difficult to find something to do during the holidays, Zhirinovsky said: "Most of the institutions are closed, the prices for trips are many times more expensive than at other times." Thus, not everyone can afford it.

"So what good is this vacation then?"

Note that this is not the first time Zhirinovsky has come up with such a proposal. So, in 2017, he confirmed his initiative with statistics, according to which, from January 1 to January 10, 20 thousand people die early from alcohol abuse. There should be only three general holidays, he said - January 1, May 9 and June 12.
