On December 29, a meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko began in the Constantine Palace in St. Petersburg, the press service of the Belarusian leader informs. Before the start of the meeting, the Russian leader drove in a car for his Belarusian counterpart, the Pool of the First Telegram channel reports.

As previously reported, the heads of state will discuss topical issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation. After the meeting, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin are planning to play hockey.

Yesterday Alexander Lukashenko took part in an informal summit of the heads of the CIS states. The leaders of the countries had the opportunity to communicate for a long time in an informal setting.

By the way, TASS reminds that the previous face-to-face conversation between Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko took place on September 9 in the Russian capital. Then the leaders of the two countries agreed on 28 union programs that determine the further integration of Moscow and Minsk. And on November 4, they approved these programs during a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, which was held via video link.

The September meeting of the presidents was the fifth this year. Previously, they communicated in February, April, May, July. All these negotiations took place on Russian territory, the agency said.
