Moldova - Popsoi: No prerequisites for changes in the composition of the government

Moldova (bbabo.net), - Vice-President of the Parliament Mikhail Popshoi very positively assesses the work of all members of the government team and notes that there are no prerequisites for personnel reshuffles in the Cabinet. According to Popshoi, the government is effectively dealing with the energy, pandemic, economic crises. and the decline in citizens' confidence in the Action and Solidarity Party according to the survey results is natural. The chairman of the PDS parliamentary faction says that the reform of the justice system will continue during 2022 so that citizens can see the consequences of this reform, ipn.md reports.

According to the vice-chairman of the parliament, the entire government team is working as intensively as possible, although some ministries are more visible, while others are less. As Mikhail Popshoi notes, the government is faced with an acute personnel problem, since low salaries and large volumes of work do not contribute to employment in the civil service.

“I do not see any prerequisites for changes in the composition of the government as long as the colleagues are doing their job. Work in government is titanic, given the difficulties and problems that have accumulated in government agencies and agencies, in government enterprises. Ministers and the prime minister are making huge sacrifices in trying to ensure sustainability so that these institutions can not only function, but produce results. For too long, government agencies have been working “on autopilot”, turning a blind eye to the lawlessness committed. The public administration is not one of the most attractive institutions, but in these difficult conditions our colleagues manage to do good things, ”Mikhail Popshoi said on the air of the Puterea a Patra program on N4 TV channel.

Mikhail Popshoi considers the results of the latest public opinion polls predictable, indicating a decline in citizens' confidence in the ruling party. According to Popshoi, it is impossible to ensure results immediately after coming to power, and the country's leadership will need at least a year for citizens to feel the changes promised by the PDS.

“The support from citizens has decreased naturally. After the tremendous support we received, the pullback was a natural thing. Complex crises: gas, pandemic, economic, cannot but have a negative impact. We will launch complex reforms next year; the reform of the justice system has already begun. The digitalization process is not yet visible, but it has already begun. Reforms will be launched as soon as possible so that results are visible too. Citizens rightfully want to see results. In a year, it will be natural for citizens to demand a report, ”Popshoy said.

Regarding the “cleansing of the system” promised to the current ruling PDS during the election campaign, Mikhail Popshoi noted that only non-professionals are being fired based on the results of an assessment of their activities. According to Popshoi, the PDS does not unlawfully fire people so that they are not subsequently reinstated in office by the court.
