The telephone conversation between US and Russian Presidents Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin has ended. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the White House.

The talks lasted 50 minutes, the American side said.

The conversation began at 15:35 Washington time (23:35 Moscow time).

Earlier it was reported that the American president intends to discuss "a number of topics, including the upcoming diplomatic negotiations with Russia."

On December 7, Putin and Biden held two-hour closed-door talks, focusing on the Ukraine crisis. As noted in the White House, the US President threatened his Russian counterpart with a tough response in the event of a military escalation in Ukraine.
