Peskov answered the question about the timing of the summit of the five of the UN Security Council

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov commented on the possible dates of the summit of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, TASS reports.

Peskov said that there are no specific dates yet. He also noted that a joint statement by the five nuclear-weapon states - Russia, China, the United States, Great Britain and France - had been agreed through diplomatic channels.

“We agreed on the diplomatic channels. The text fully reflects the position of the parties and leaders, "Peskov said.

Earlier, the Kremlin said that it considers it necessary to hold a summit of the nuclear powers.

Russia, China, the USA, Great Britain and France have declared the inadmissibility of a nuclear war.

The joint statement by the leaders of the five countries also indicated that no country will indicate the target of nuclear weapons to other countries, and that Russia, China, the United States, Great Britain and France will jointly strengthen measures to prevent the "unintended use" of nuclear weapons.

Also, the leadership of these countries confirmed their adherence to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
