The Russian Orthodox Church explained why QR codes needed in museums and cafes cannot be entered in churches

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The Russian Orthodox Church reiterated the inadmissibility of introducing a system of covid certificates for visiting temples, while supporting the spread of the QR code system to other public places.

The head of the group for vaccination and overcoming the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic of the Synodal Commission on Bioethics, priest Vladimir Duhovich, in an interview with RIA Novosti, noted that between churches and places where QR codes are already being introduced (cafes, cinemas, restaurants, museums, etc.) ) there is a fundamental difference.

According to him, unlike churches, visiting the above-mentioned places is entertainment. Trips to the temple, as Duhovich notes, are necessary for a person, like visiting work or a hospital.

In addition to temples, QR codes, according to the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church, should also not be entered on public transport.

Earlier, the State Duma announced the introduction of the norms for visiting religious buildings without covid certificates into the relevant law.
