Iran has declared its readiness to recognize the Taliban rule (the movement is prohibited in the Russian Federation) in Afghanistan, provided that they form an inclusive government.

Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan Bahadur Aminyan told Tolo News that Tehran proceeds from the inadmissibility of forming a government exclusively from representatives of one ethnic group.

According to him, other ethnic groups should also be represented in the government.

The diplomat said that Iran “kindly calls on” the Taliban to take this moment into account.

In the case of reforming the structure of the Afghan government, Tehran can influence other states so that they recognize the Taliban's authority, the Iranian ambassador added.
