The State Duma hasn't supported an initiative of the People's Artist of the USSR and Duma's deputy Iosif Kobzon concerning the suspension of diplomatic relations with Washington, said Saturday, August 29, the radio station "Moscow speaking".

"I have a great respect for Iosif Davidovich Kobzon, but I cannot support his idea. To my mind, he said that in a fit of temper, it came from his heart, not from the mind. From the point of reality and rationality it misfits, of course, "- said the deputy chairman of the Duma committee on international affairs, Leonid Kalashnikov.

He resembled that diplomatic relations are usually interrupted, when states are at war. Even so, such countries keep on communicating with each other via a third embassy diplomats to coordinate various issues.
