Russia - St. Petersburg extended the yellow hazard level due to icy conditions

Russia (bbabo.net), - In St. Petersburg, the "yellow" level of weather hazard was extended until 12:00 on January 7. This is reported by the city administration with reference to Roshydromet.

The reason was the ice, which is observed in the Northern capital after the warming. "Yellow" refers to the second level of potentially hazardous weather.

In this regard, the city authorities asked drivers not to use cars if possible, and pedestrians - to be careful on slippery sidewalks and roads.

According to the North-West UGMS, ice and difficult conditions on the roads in St. Petersburg will continue on January 5 and 6. But the air temperature will go down: if on January 5 it is about plus 2 degrees, then the next day minus 2-4 degrees is expected. On Christmas, January 7, minus 9-11 degrees is predicted in the Northern capital.
