Moldova (bbabo.net), - The Action and Solidarity Party faction in the Chisinau Municipal Council demands the cancellation of the order on the appointment of Sergiu Ceban as director of the municipal enterprise Infocom, as well as the organization of a competition for the selection of a new director on the basis of meritocracy criteria. Councilors accuse Mayor Ion Ceban of a conflict of interest with the current head of the municipal enterprise, ipn.md reports

“An honest person should be chosen who will not be in a conflict of interest with the position he holds,” Zinaida Popa, vice-chairman of the PDS faction in the CMC, said during a press conference. In the coming days, a request will be made to the NON and the General Prosecutor's Office, in which it will be proposed to analyze the actions, including of the mayor, Ion Ceban, in an administrative manner.

Roman Kozhuhar, a PDS advisor, says Sergiu Ceban is the founder of companies that provide similar services to those provided by Infocom. In his opinion, the purpose of Ceban's stay at Infocom is to obtain a database of a municipal enterprise serving more than 80% of housing in Chisinau municipality today.

The PDS councilor says that the mayor, Ion Ceban, has deliberately appointed Sergiu Ceban at Infocom, although he is in a conflict of interest with him. The goal is to bring the company to bankruptcy, says Roman Kozhukhar.

In the earlier published reaction, Natalia Ixari, the press secretary of the Mayor General of Ion Ceban, noted that the actions of the PDS members are aimed at discrediting the mayor and the mayor's office. “Until now, the management of this company had a person associated with this party.
