Handling, training, ozone therapy, a swimming pool, treadmills for animals - including water ones, which allow you to increase the load or, on the contrary, reduce the impact on the joints, are collected here under one roof. And also special baths, grooming, a conference room for dog breeders. There is even a zoopsychologist.
A golden retriever named Raf did not start too confidently - he first came to class with a professional trainer and at first was distracted, twisting his head, looking for the mistress with his eyes.
No joke, to be in an unusual hall, surrounded, as in a ballet school, by mirrors. But after some fifteen minutes he was busily walking after his new handler - a professional trainer who prepares dogs for important exhibitions. And mirrors are needed to evaluate every step of the dog.
“Initially, the dog club was conceived as a rehabilitation center,” says Ekaterina Polovnikova, manager of the Laplandia dog club. “The idea has changed over time, but we have a rehabilitation doctor. And we intend to expand our staff. -coaches who will be able to correct some moments, - says Ekaterina Polovnikova. - Take Raf, for example: he slightly twists one paw when moving. This may not always be noticeable for loving owners, but at any exhibition a professional jury will pay attention. the main thing is that all this is anatomy, such things affect the health of the dog. But preparing a champion dog is only one of the tasks of specialists. A trainer is needed not only for purebred beauties, but also for ordinary funny mongrels. As Ekaterina explains, cultural dog breeding today also includes home keeping of outbred pets. They, along with the medalists of exhibitions, absorb the basics of everyday obedience, trick training or agility - passing certain obstacles (slides, snakes, tunnels).
As the manager of the dog-club notes, any training with a dog is primarily aimed at its owner. And it doesn't matter who he keeps on a leash: a tiny Chihuahua or a massive shepherd dog.
But the main audience of the club is still bigger dogs, those who need a burst of energy. It is widely known: if, for example, a husky does not run in enough, all that remains is to hide away the family crystal and stock up on an extra roll of wallpaper.
Two huskies, Exi and Dixie, anxiously watch as trainer-veterinarian Oksana Zadora fills a special dog bath. This couple clearly does not like to wash. Raf rushed past along the corridor, who was called into the pool - don't feed the retriever with meat, let him splash in the water.
Trainers emphasize that negative stimulation is completely excluded from the methodology of upbringing obedient pets - a solid "gingerbread". The owner of the dog is taught this as well. So the dog is happy.
