Russia - Additional billions allocated for the health of St. Petersburg residents

Russia (bbabo.net) - Over the next three years, St. Petersburg's healthcare will receive more than three billion rubles annually, of which 353 million will be a federal subsidy. This was reported by the press service of the city administration. The funds were allocated from the federal budget.

In 2022, the contribution of the city budget for these purposes will amount to 3 billion 446 million rubles, in - 3 billion 93 million, in 2024 3 billion 204 million. It is worth noting that this money is not included in the basic compulsory health insurance program and increases the planned investments in the city's health care.

In addition, in 2022, the federal center plans to allocate another 253 million rubles from the federal budget for the purchase of equipment for vascular centers and primary vascular departments of medical organizations. And in 2023, another tranche in the amount of 137 million will come for these purposes. This will allow the technical renovation of 10 specialized healthcare institutions.

A separate line of expenses is the re-equipment of oncological institutions. In the coming year, it is planned to allocate 376 million rubles for these purposes in 2022, in the next 2023 - 97 million. These funds will be used to purchase four tomographs and ten units of medical equipment for the treatment of cancer patients.

"For the allocated funding in 2022, it is planned to provide high-tech assistance for 11,225 residents of St. Petersburg and 196 residents of other regions," the press service said.
