Russia (bbabo.net) - Russia is going to the upcoming talks with the United States and NATO on security issues in early January "not with an outstretched hand," but "with a clearly formulated task that must be solved on the terms that we have formulated." This was stated by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov.

At the same time, the diplomat did not rule out that the dialogue with the United States, in the absence of a serious willingness of the Americans to discuss Moscow's concerns, could be limited to one meeting.

"I cannot rule out anything, this is a quite possible scenario, and the Americans, especially their support group represented by other NATO countries, should not have any illusions about this," Ryabkov said in RIA Novosti.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation clarified that "if we walk in circles and repeat the same thing, if we do not see the slightest signs of readiness from the other side to take into account our priorities, to react to them in a constructive way, then the dialogue will become meaningless."

We will remind, Russia and the United States on January 9-10 in Geneva will hold consultations on Moscow's proposals on security guarantees. Then in Brussels a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council will take place, and in Vienna - consultations at the platform of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
