Russia (bbabo.net) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will be timely informed about the results of the first Russian-American meeting on security guarantees held in Geneva.

The press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov told TASS about this. Answering the question of whether the president was informed about the results of the negotiations in a restricted format, Peskov said that everything would be reported to Putin in a timely manner.

A preliminary round of meeting with US officials on security assurances took place in Geneva on Sunday evening. According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, the negotiations were "amazing." The conversation was difficult, but businesslike, the parties "plunged into the matter of the upcoming affairs, I think that tomorrow we will not waste time," Ryabkov added.

Already on Monday, January 10, the meeting on security guarantees will be held in an expanded format. Note that Sergei Ryabkov is the head of the Russian delegation. From the American side, First Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman is taking part in the negotiations.

Let us recall that on January 12, Brussels will host a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council, and in Vienna - consultations at the platform of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
