In particular, as reported by TASS with reference to the head of the information department of the administration of the governor of St. Petersburg, Inna Karpushina, a fountain complex will be set up in the park. The embankment between the Birzhev and Tuchkov bridges is planned to be reconstructed, turning it into a walking area, along which it will be possible to walk to the Peter and Paul Fortress itself.

Also, a parking lot should appear on the territory, and an underground pedestrian crossing is planned to be built in the area of ​​Likhachev Square.

Now this area is fenced off with building fences. The construction of the park here was announced in 2019. The name was chosen by the Petersburgers themselves. Initially, hemp warehouses were built here, hence the name, after the revolution the Institute of Applied Chemistry was located on the territory. In recent years, the institute has moved to the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region, the buildings on the site are empty. The design of the future park is carried out by the efforts of St. Petersburg and Dutch architects.
