The reason for the meeting was the Day of Russian Students and the 80th anniversary of NRNU MEPhI. The event was held in an informal atmosphere over tea drinking. The students prepared a presentation about successes and achievements, about how students spend their everyday life.
Director of NV NPP Vladimir Povarov spoke about his path to the profession of a nuclear engineer, about life in a hostel, about student brotherhood, work in construction teams, meeting with Vladimir Vysotsky and Andrei Makarevich. Having graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1980 with a degree in Thermal Physics, Vladimir Povarov has been successfully working in the nuclear industry for more than 40 years, is a Doctor of Technical Sciences, the author of many scientific publications, books, and recently headed a new department at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI "VVER technology in nuclear power plants ".
"We are interested in highly qualified specialists, therefore Novovoronezh NPP gives priority to the development of education in the field of nuclear energy. NRNU MEPhI is famous for strong traditions, competent teachers,.jpgted students with solid knowledge, helps young people find their vocation. I would like to wish students to read more classical literature, competently plan a life program, be obligatory and work hard, then success will not be long in coming,” said Vladimir Povarov, director of NV NPP, during the meeting.
It is worth noting that now the NVPK is experiencing a rebirth: the reconstruction of the facade of the building is being completed. This year, on the basis of the college, with the support of the Rosenergoatom Concern, NV NPP, for the first time in the nuclear industry, a new specialty was opened - flaw detector, which is in demand in all industries, including nuclear power plants.
In the future, a large-scale project is planned to reorganize the Novovoronezh Polytechnic College into the Polytechnic Institute at NRNU MEPhI.
