At the presentation of the OnePlus 10 Pro in China, the company announced a special version of the OnePlus Buds Pro fully wireless earbuds, which are made in the new Mithril color.

The earbuds themselves and the OnePlus Buds Pro Special Edition charging case have a shiny silver surface. It is worth noting that the name Mithril is taken from JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings universe. This is a fictional noble metal, four times stronger than iron, and much lighter than it, with high ductility. At the same time, it shines like silver and does not fade over the years.

Other than color, the OnePlus Buds Pro Special Edition is no different from the standard version. The headphones are equipped with 11mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and three microphones for active noise canceling. The earbuds are IP55 rated and feature a 37 mAh battery for up to 7 hours of noise-canceling music playback.

The charging case with wired USB-C charging and Qi wireless charging has a 520 mAh battery. The total operating time without noise cancellation reaches 38 hours.

OnePlus also officially announced today the new flagship smartphone OnePlus 10 Pro.
