Meta (formerly Facebook) announced that employees will need a COVID-19 booster to enter their offices. A company spokesman says the booster doses provide increased protection.

The parent company Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram currently require vaccinations for employees who work on the company's campuses. However, from March 28, workers will be required to prove that they have received a booster vaccine.

The full opening of Meta offices is also postponing until March 28, previously the company was going to do this until the end of this month. Employees must notify the employer about their intention to work from the office by March 14. In the spring of 2020, the company announced that the state can work full-time remotely, this rule still remains.

In December last year, Meta talked about a program to delay the exit to offices for 3-5 months due to the spread of the coronavirus. The company also announced that employees can work remotely on a long-term basis.

Meta says it is expanding the requirements for workers as it has evidence that booster vaccinations are effective.

At the end of December, Meta, Lenovo, T-Mobile, Amazon and other companies refused to participate in the offline format of CES 2022 due to the rising incidence of coronavirus in the United States. A number of journalists also refused to attend the event. As a result, the exhibition closed a day earlier than planned.

In mid-December, Apple decided to postpone the mandatory return of employees to offices for a certain period due to the situation with the covid. Earlier, the corporation was going to return workers from a remote employment format in early February.
