Superjob survey: only 15% of respondents are ready to switch to e-passports in the near future

According to RBC, Superjob, a job search and recruiting service, conducted a survey among 1,600 adult respondents regarding the use of electronic documents. According to a sociological study, only 15% of the respondents are ready to switch to electronic passports and transfer their other documents to electronic form in the near future.

The survey concerned not only obtaining an electronic passport, but also a work record book, a compulsory medical insurance policy, SNILS, TIN and a driver's license.

It is noteworthy that the number of respondents who are unhappy with this situation and those who want to keep paper documents turned out to be the same.

Thus, 38% of the respondents believe that it is necessary to preserve the possibility of using paper documents when switching to electronic ones. And 37% of survey participants want personal documents to remain only in paper form. Basically, older respondents ticked the boxes for this in the survey.

From 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will begin to issue electronic passports throughout the country on a voluntary basis to citizens from the age of 14, as the new system for connecting regions is technically ready. Before this, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will conduct pilot testing for the issuance of electronic Russian passports in three regions of the country until the end of 2022 - in Moscow, the Moscow region and the Republic of Tatarstan.

At the beginning of 2022, the media reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs would cancel the paper version of the Russian passport when issuing an electronic passport to a citizen in the form of a smart card and an application with a QR code.

In August 2021, the media reported that some Russian users were faced with the facts of loss of experience in electronic work books. Most of the gaps are related to the time of their work in various liquidated enterprises. The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation advises to contact the employer about the restoration of seniority. But it turned out to be problematic for the former employee after the termination of the activities of the companies.
