Geographers from Poland have created a map based on The Witcher

Researchers from the Department of Political and Historical Geography of the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies of the University of Warsaw have compiled a map of all the works of the world of The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski.

In the "NEWS: Map of the month" section on the website of the University of Warsaw, a map of the universe of Andrzej Sapkowski's cycle of works about the Witcher has appeared. In creating the map, all works that are somehow related to the cycle were taken into account: books, games, TV shows, and so on.

At the same time, the researchers compiled a map adjusted for the existing terrain and real atlases. But fan art has not been spared either. You may notice that the map differs from those already presented, for example, from the game ones.

It was made in compliance with all the rules of geographical science and, as stated on the site:

“Nevertheless, this is the first detailed map accurately depicting the terrain, the outlines of borders and rivers, the location of islands and cities, classified by number of inhabitants.”

Using this map, you can calculate how much the heroes of the works needed to get to the right points, how the army of Emperor Nilfgaard moved, and much more.
