Named the best-selling crossovers and SUVs in Russia in 2021

The AUTOSTAT website published the top ten best-selling crossovers and SUVs in Russia at the end of the 2021 calendar year. According to AEB, last year the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) in the Russian car market continued to grow and increased to a record 47.3%.

The budget crossover Hyundai Creta took the first place, sales of which decreased by 7%, but it was still far ahead of all competitors with a result of 68081 cars. Domestic SUV LADA Niva added as much as 28% this year, and sales amounted to 51,242 units, which allowed it to take second place.

Third place went to another budget option, Renault Duster, whose sales grew by 31% (this is the best result in the top ten) and amounted to 41,471 cars. Rounding out the top five are Toyota RAV4 and Volkswagen Tiguan. Kia Sportage took sixth place, followed by Nissan Qashqai, Mazda CX-5, Skoda Karoq and Nissan X-Trail.
