Schrödinger's video card tested in Geekbench

In January last year, there were rumors that Nvidia was preparing an ultra-budget GeForce GT 1010 video card. Moreover, this model is presented on the official Nvidia website in the list of models of the GeForce GTX 10 family of the proprietary driver, only for a year it has not acquired its own page on site and is not available for sale. This model is not shipped to large PC assemblers either. It turned out to be some kind of Schrödinger video card: it seems to be there, but at the same time it is not there.

However, evidence of the physical existence of the GeForce GT 1010 appeared on the tribute: it was tested in Geekbench. And only thanks to this, not only its performance, but also its characteristics became known.

The GeForce GT 1010 received 256 CUDA cores and 2 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 64-bit bus. The GPU frequency was 1468 MHz. As for performance, in all three tests (CUDA, Vulkan and Open CL) it is 33-37% lower than that of the GeForce GT 1030, which, in general, also lacks stars from the sky. Moreover, the integrated Intel Iris Xe GPUs are about twice as fast in the same tests!

In general, there was no particular point in releasing the GeForce GT 1010 either a year ago or now: even if we take into account the use of this model simply for outputting a video signal, the GPUs built into Intel and AMD processors do just as well, and in which case you can buy one same GeForce GT 1030. So there is a high probability that the GeForce GT 1010 from Schrödinger's video card will simply turn into a canceled product.
