The introduction of scanning personal files angered users of the Google service

Users of the Google Drive service complained about the massive blocking of their personal files after the introduction of a scanning system for copyright infringement. According to BleepingComputer, moderation is carried out with serious shortcomings.

The American professor Emily Dolson was the first to discover the problem. The file on Google Drive called "output04.txt" had only the number 1. However, Google pointed out that the file was infringing copyright and was blocked.

The warning stated that the restriction could not be lifted or reviewed through a support specialist. This attitude towards users outraged Dolson.

It turned out that the presence of zero in it can become a violation and a reason for blocking a file. The system also detects numbers such as 173, 174, 186, 266, 285, 302, 336, 451, 500, and 833 as copyright infringement. So far, Google has not commented on the problem.

Earlier in the United States, four Attorney Generals sued Google, accusing the IT giant of tracking the geolocation of users without their consent.
